Constituent

This API manages constituent information and related entities such as addresses, phones, emails, and notes.

PATCH

Relationship

Edits a relationship for a constituent. If a reciprocal relationship exists, it is also modified to reflect the changes. This does not include changes to the comments property, which is specific to each record and can be modified independently on each record.

Parameter Required Type Description
relationship_id Property is required string

The immutable system record ID of the relationship to edit.

Request headers

Header Required Type Description
Content-Type string Media type of the body sent to the API.
Bb-Api-Subscription-Key Property is required string Subscription key which provides access to this API. Found in your Profile.
Authorization Property is required string OAuth 2.0 access token obtained from Blackbaud OAuth 2.0 Service. Supported grant types: Authorization code.

Response 200 OK

Returned when the operation successfully edits the relationship.

Response 400 Bad Request

Returned when the specified relationship ID in the request URL or the specified request parameters are not in the appropriate format.

Response 403 Forbidden

Returned when the user does not have permission to edit the relationship.

Response 404 Not Found

Returned when the specified relationship is not found.
